Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up from Nairobi at 7:30 am and begin your scenic drive to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Travel through the Great Rift Valley and into the land of the Maasai people, renowned cattle herders who continue to preserve their rich traditions and culture.
The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, known for its vast open plains and the highest concentration of wildlife in the country. Arrive in the Mara in time for lunch at your budget camp.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, exploring the reserve until the early evening. This is an excellent opportunity to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other species.
Dinner and overnight stay at the budget camp
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara, offering the best chance to spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
Game drives are flexible. You may choose a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes inside the reserve, or opt for early morning and late afternoon game drives with time to relax at the camp in between.
All meals and overnight stay at the budget camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp, then check out and begin your drive back to Nairobi.
Along the way, you have the option of visiting a local Maasai village to learn more about their culture, traditions, and way of life. Continue the journey to Nairobi, arriving later in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari.
